Wolf Blood

Paul Schwarz "Blackmoon" was the name of one of the members of DF in the early lineup who got a rep at one point in the '90s at least. I don't really understand this band, but I haven't really given them much time. Maybe it is time for they AND Dark Funeral to take up more than 5 minutes of my time consecutively, for a few sustained periods at least... Favorite track: Black Moon.
Kroagnon thumbnail
Kroagnon This album is brilliant. Nothing particularly original in terms of the music, every track is just a solid slab of familiar HeavySabbath that hits you in all the right places. The vocals especially just hits the right spot where so many others would fall short either being too screamy or too Ozzy-esque. I wish more bands could create more of this and less of the bland, sub-par fanboyism that populates Doom these days. That's the thing, these guys are inspired by Sabbath, not possessed by them, and that makes all the difference in my opinion. Favorite track: Witch.
